Naseeruddin Shah makes a special appearance in ‘Begum Jaan’

Mahesh and Mukesh Bhatt’s period epic ‘Begum Jaan’, which stars Vidya Balan , will also see Naseeruddin Shah in a special appearance.

Confirming the news, Mukesh Bhatt said, “Naseer will make a special appearance but his character is pivotal to the plot. He has worked with us in ‘Naajayaz’ (1995) and ‘Sir’ (1993) in the past.

We’ve always shared a special bond with him but we didn’t come across a story worthy enough to approach him before for an actor of his caliber.”

The film is a Hindi adaptation of Srijit Mukherjee’s Bengali classic, which is set against the backdrop of partition. Srijit will direct the Hindi version too.
