Microsoft to now let developers sell paid apps in bulk

Microsoft has announced that app developers can now sell their paid apps in bulk via the Windows Store for Business. For those unaware, Windows Store for Business is an app store from Microsoft that companies use to buy and distribute apps across its Windows 10 devices.

The Redmond-based tech giant on its official blog post said that organisations can purchase the paid applications only using credit cards for now. The payment options like invoicing, volume discounts and organizational in-app purchases will be added later. For now, developers from 35 countries can sell their paid apps in bulk. These countries include Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Isle of Man, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and the United States.

To sell their apps, developers would initially need to verify themselves as registered developers in any of the aforementioned 35 countries.

With this, Microsoft seems to be aiming to get more developers on board letting them create more apps for businesses and getting paid as well.

The Satya Nadella-led tech company last month also revealed its IFTTT-like tool called Flow. The tool would let developers create certain workflows that occur automatically when a criteria is met. For instance, if users are receiving a mail from a person, they would automatically get a message notification for the same on Slack.
