‘Lagaan’ actor Rajesh Vivek Upadhyay passes away

Tlevision actor Rajesh Vivek Upadhyay, who played the popular character of Guran in Bollywood blockbuster, Lagaan passed away on January 14, 2015.

The actor, who has been part of some iconic TV shows like Bharat Ki Khoj, Mahabharat and Ighori to name a few was 66-year-old. Upadhayay was 66 and passed away after suffering from cardiac arrest.

Confirming the news to IANS, his close friend and colleague Vishnu Sharma said, “He passed away today (Thursday) around 3 o’clock in the afternoon. I knew Rajesh for more than 40 years. It’s extremely sad and a huge loss to the industry.”
