Hyderabad to get tallest Ambedkar statue

The Telangana government has decided to put up a 125-ft tall statue of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, most likely on a rock in the Amusement Park at NTR Gardens here, to commemorate his 125th birth anniversary on April 14.

Apart from the park, the government also explored two other spots but the park was found to be the most suitable location. It should be a tall view for a few thousand onlookers, sources said.

The government had constituted a committee headed by Deputy Chief Minister Kadiyam Srihari to finalise the location and conduct the celebrations.
