Four killed in road accident in Prakasam district

Four persons, including two women, were killed when their car collided with a cement-laden truck near Gollapalli village in Tripurantakam mandal in Prakasam district on Wednesday.

A group of lecturers, from neighbouring Kurnool district, was heading to Vijayawada to meet the education department higher officials when the mishap occurred, SB Circle Inspector Y. Srinivasa Rao said.

The deceased were identified as M. Srinivasa Ragavendra, his wife G.Krishnaveni, Indla Vasu Vijayalakshmi and the car driver D. Upendra Reddy.
